To be honest, I had no idea what Delia D was all about. I just read somewhere that the music are inspired by songs created by Jonathan Manalo. I entered the Newport Performing Arts Theater with, I believe, an open mind. Actually, when I saw a booth at the lobby, I really believed it was a photo booth. At the beginning, I had to say, it was TOO LOUD for old me. I found it REALLY noisy and the choreography, or was it called the blocking, REALLY chaotic. I was beginning to closing my eyes and ears. But as it went on, I found myself nodding, smiling, giggling and, actually, cheering Delia D. Yeah, the story was familiar, the characters were familiar and that familiarity made it special for me. Everyone could relate with dreams, wishes, fears, confusion and, eventually, enlightenment of Delia D.
